My dad have a lot of bait casting reels he got from shops giving it to him for review but he rarely use those and instead use a spinning reel that is almost as old as my little sister
I want a good rod and reel combo at bass pro shops that I can use for 3-5 years and I’m leaning toward a spinning reel I never fished before tho I have a 100 dollar budget
Spin cast are just the best and least frustrating reels for all types of fishing. I still use bait casters for my catfish rods though.
Closed face is really just a spinning reel with a cover
