My number one bait on the drop shot is the Zman Trick Shotz. Looks like the Berkley flat worm, and it floats. I just started fishing the drop shot this winter. It’s not really my style of fishing, but I can say that it does absolutely catch fish. I caught a lot of largemouth on it. They weren’t as big as what I am usually catching, but the number of catches was off the charts. I am not using the drop shot anywhere near as much as I was in the colder months, as I have went to mostly top water now. I did fish one a couple of times last week which only yielded a couple of hits with no hookup, and one largemouth which was right around .75 lb.
